There's still some potential for the second type of disinformation to get caught. Humans, as social creatures, still interact with one another, so it takes a bit more work. I would imagine that, as soon as a certain piece of disinformation that a person obtained through talking to AI makes its way into social circles, a similar process for catching this information can then ensue. This relies on the assumption that eventually it does make its way into social circles and that society still has the critical thinking to be able to take someone else's claim and investigate it further. It also relies on the tools that one's used for investigating to not be influenced by the same means of disinformation that created the original wrong fact in the first place.
